Alternative Medicine

Alternative health solutions are becoming a more common stay of main stream medicine. As we move forward in the modern era of science and technology, we find ourselves becoming more detached from oneself as well as nature. In turn we become more attached to science to fix all our problems. When modern medicine fails to correct health issues, some look towards alternative medicine practices, such as acupuncture, herbs and qigong meditation for relief. This idea is growing more prevalent everyday. To the degree that alternative medicine is now being referred to, as complimentary medicine. With good reason alternative medicine offers treatment in different ways than just prescribing drugs, focusing on your body's natural ability to heal itself. Rather than just addressing the symptoms of disease and illness.

The idea of alternative medicine is not new. In fact the idea of alternative health has existed for hundreds if not thousands of years. It's merely traditional medicine, that came before the synthetic drugs and high tech machines, we use today in modern medicine. Hence the name came to be; alternative health as an alternate to drugs and machines used to fix health issues. Their are many forms of alternative health, such as chinese medicine, which include qigong exercises, meditation, herbs, acupuncture, acupressure, and countless others.

Having personal experience with alternative medicine like acupuncture & qigong meditation, has shown me that there are many options that work beyond the final say of doctors. Which is definitely is not to say, doctors don't offer help to patients. Certain diseases require special drugs to combat them. What drugs fail to offer patients is the ability to stay healthy without their use. Alternative medicine fills in the gaps of using drugs, especially qigong meditation. Allowing your body to prevent sickness and naturally heal itself, without side effects.

One thing to realize is that science is still in its infancy. There are many concepts that are not understood and yet to be discovered. How could it be thought of as the only option for health, as we push forward in todays society? Alternative medicine hopefully will become a more funded and researched part of medicine. Maintaining proper health with alternative medicine such as qigong meditation, is a much more economical and practical way of life. Compared to waiting to get sick and then taking drugs that have side effects, to relieve symptoms. Alternative medicine definitely has much to offer.
